- We are the sponsor of the SHIPPING 101 training course which has trained hundreds of members of the local maritime industry.
- We coordinated with local political representatives to help our members to establish internships for students at McKee Technical High School, and to donate educational materials.
- We serve as a mentor, guest lecturer, and member of the Work-based Learning Committee at the Urban Assembly School of Global Commerce.
- We work with the Harbor School to initiate goal-based learning programs.
- We serve as a frequent narrator for the Hidden Harbor Tours program that exposes the public to our Working Waterfront.
- We are a member of the SUNY Maritime College Industry Advisory Board.
- We present annual achievement awards at both the US Merchant Marine Academy and SUNY Maritime College.
